No not currently for private Insurance.

16. Do you insure more than 8 seaters

No the maximum is 8 seats including the drivers seat

No. Hire/Rented or Leased vehicles cannot be covered under this type of policy

18. Do you insure vehicles over 3.5 tonnes

No not on this type of policy

19. Can I insure a car if I don’t know the reg number until I pick it up

No.The registration number will be required in order to produce an insurance certificate

20. What is the maximum value of a vehicle to be eligible for cover on dayinsure

Maximum value is £40,000

21. What happens if the vehicle exceeds £50,000

Vehicle does not meet qualifying criteria and cannot be insured under this policy

22. Can I insure a car for a test drive

Yes. We can offer policies from as little as one day

23. Do you insure Jetskis and quadricycles

No we do not currently offer any bike insurance

25. Can I insure a motorhome on Dayinsure

No. Campervans and motorhomes are not acceptable vehicles under this type of policy

Social, Domestic and Pleasure purposes & business excluding hire and reward

27. Can I get a quote if I do not know the vehicle reg

Yes. This will be a quote only. The vehicles registration will be required for any application.

28. How do I insure a particular vehicle that is not listed in the vehicle drop down list

If a vehicle is not listed it is not an acceptable vehicle for this type of insurance

29. Will I be covered to drive other vehicles when I take out day insure for a particular vehicle

No, the policy will apply only to the vehicle detailed

30. Is possible to replace the vehicle on short term cover

Because of the electronic delivery amendments cannot be made to a short term policy. The policy is not transferable.

31. Do I need different policies for different cars over same period of time

We cannot currently insure Classic cars under this type of policy.

33. Can I take out insurance on a company car which is not mine

Yes.However the vehicle must not be under any leasing agreement

34. Can I insure multiple vehicles over the same period

Yes, on separate policies

35. Does your insurance cover towing a boat/caravan/trailer

Whilst the vehicle is insured on a Comprehensive basis, any attached trailer will only covered against third party risks.

36. Will the age of my vehicle effect the application for insurance?

Dayinsure can insure most standard UK registered vehicles, although the age of the vehicle will be taken into consideration during your application, and may be deemed too old to offer a short term policy.

37. What is the oldest vehicle you can insure through dayinsure.

We can only insure vehicles manufactured/registered from 1993 onwards.

38. What do I do if I cant retrieve or print my policy document

Contact Helpdesk support. Check that your PC has the Adobe Acrobat software and it is internet explorer enabled for PDFs.

39. Can I get copies of my policy documents through the post

No, This is an internet only service. All documentation is electronically downloaded from the site or your e-mail address.

40. Can I reprint my policy if it failed the first time

Yes.By using the password sent to your E mail address to access your policy

41. When do I receive my password to print my documents

Via your E Mail once you have registered

42. How and when will I get my insurance details

Available to print from the site or electronically on a PDF via a confirmation E Mail

43. Will the site let me view the insurance certificate to print it

44. Can you E Mail me a copy of the insurance certificate to an additional named driver on the policy

Reprints can be obtained from the website using your password and E mail address

45. Can I insure a car which already has insurance in someone elses name

Yes, provided you are not insured under their policy

46. What convictions would prevent me from getting day insurance, is there any discretion

Each policy covers one main temp driver and one additional temp driver. Extra drivers would have to be on another separate policy
